The Les Treize scholarship program was developed to assist graduating high school students of color, predominantly African Americans, attain higher education. It was intended to help those who came from families with financial needs who otherwise might not be able to enter college. Our purpose has not changed since our inception1947.

Les Treize has established five scholarships in its name. Income generated from Les Treize I andIV will make grants to high school graduates entering any field of study. Income generated from Les Treize II and III is restricted to high school graduates in health careers. The McCalla scholarship for high school graduates interested in engineering.

Applications become available in February. The application deadlines are typically in May. Check the link to Fairfield County Community Foundation for specific applications and deadlines.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and financial need for students from Bridgeport and Stratford, CT

Yes, there is no fee to apply.

Yes, you can only apply for one Les Treize scholarship. However, you can apply for several other scholarships through the Fairfield County Community Foundation applications process. Check the FCCF link for details. thanks and see you soon.
